Christ the King was born at Bethlehem in the year 4 BC during the reign of Emperor Caesar. He was God's Word made flesh to dwell among men, by a special divine intervention. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and was born to Virgin Mary and Joseph, his legal father. He was called the 'Christ ' as he was anointed by God. The word 'Christ ' comes from the Greek word 'Christos' which means 'The anointed one of God'. After His baptism at the River Jordan, Jesus began his ministry of teaching people the true religion, the religion of divine compassion and mercy, and went around healing people both physically and spiritually.
